In Korea, citizens must wear masks in everyday to day situations such as walking on the street. However, citizens are permitted to take their masks off to sit down and eat in restaurants. It seems counter-intuitive that masks are not required in small enclosed spaces like cafes/restuarants which has a greater likelihood of COVID transmission, whereas masks are compulsory in open air streets (with theoretically less chance of transmission due to spaciousness)
