It's been months since we've have to quarantine and to be quite honest, it's been getting harder to fight the urge to want to leave my house. The struggles I have with quarantine-ing as a homebody makes it no surprise that others are unable to fight this urge. As I see people hanging out with friends and publicly sharing it on their social media platforms, it's clear to me that many people have given up. In Canada, to note a few cases, there was a 200-person party and a 500-person party that have had to be shut down by the police. These parties demonstrate a lack of awareness among teens regarding the implications of their actions. With schools reopening in September, it is unclear as to whether students will follow protocol and the safety measures that will be implemented. Although Canada's numbers have been getting better, I have to wonder if reopening will prompt for a second wave to spread and to worsen situations overall.
