Recent internet trends seem to not only normalize but also romanticize mental health issues. Posts on social media often associate them with adjectives such as "pretty," "artistic," or even "aesthetic." It seems that it has become cool or desirable to have anxiety, depression, or other mental disorders. Not only that, many terms for mental illness are often appropriated and used as mere personality traits in day-to-day life. Both of these issues clearly diminish the severity of the struggle and prevent people who actually suffer from these problems from getting help. Thoughts?
